MADELINE GRANDE
Madeline Grande began her study of tap at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Arts under the instruction of Sarah Mason. Here she trained extensively in the art and musicality of rhythmic tap dancing and served as the Rehearsal Director of Crunch! Youth Tap Ensemble. During this time she attended and performed at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project, LA Tap Festival and DC Tap Festival. These venues allowed her to be trained by Jimmy Slyde, Jason Samuels Smith, Chloe Arnold, Sarah Reich, Michelle Dorrance, Roxanne Butterfly, Arthur Duncan, Maud Arnold and many other tap legends of this generation.She moved on to teach and study at Penn State University in their advanced tap program under Michelle Dunleavy. While working towards her Bachelors in Kinesiology and Fitness Studies, Madeline was a lead choreographer and member of Tapestry Dance Company. Since graduating Madeline has moved to Central Colorado and spends her time outside of the dance studio fly fishing, whitewater rafting and snowboarding. She has a passion for educating the next generation of dancers on the importance of rhythm and purposeful expression within music.
